A girl was allegedly raped in a hospital situated in the Highway area by a compounder in this district of Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Saturday. As per the report filed by the victim’s brother, it has been alleged that a compounder of the City Hospital raped his sister, where she had got admitted for treatment, at 0000 hrs on Thursday night.
The report states that when his brother arrived at the spot, the compounder Shyam Sundar and a nurse started running away and when he tried to catch hold of them, he was thrashed. The report also states that two doctors of the hospital, Dr Gaurav and Dr Pankaj were also involved in the conspiracy. Sources added that the medical checkup of the girl has yet not been done while the victim’s brother has taken her to Jaipur for better treatment. The medical check up will be done once the victim recovers from her illness.
The compounder Shyam Sunder has not yet been arrested, sources said. Further action will be initiated after the victim records her statement in front of the police and a magistrate. On the other hand, Dr Gaurav from City Hospital has said that this is an attempt to malign the image of the hospital and it was him who had called the police at night and asked the cops to come. The footage of the CCTV cameras of the hospital is being provided to the police. He also said that he is ready for any kind of probe. (UNI)
