Taking the threat of environmental degradation seriously, an online seller, having presence in six continents, has taken a unique initiative, to save water and prevent garbage, while exporting world-class quality Indian products to over 136 countries.
Indian Beautiful Art (IBA), an e-commerce industry, has developed ‘Just In Time’ (JIT) system for garment manufacturing, which delivers products in less than 48 hours, the global turnaround time for any company across the world, to ship a particular product to the consumer, said Nitin Kapoor, CEO and co-founder of IBA.
According to Kapoor, their new concept TexTech – Textile Technology has an objective to only produce what is demanded by the market and control utilisation of natural resources, along with no wastage of water and no dumping of waste fabric or garment.
He said, ”Instead of getting prints of the photo shoot, images on the clothes are tested using technology. ”This effectively cuts the cost of photoshoot production and creates a single prototype for various patterns of the same garment,” the 32-year-old entrepreneur told UNI.
The colours and designs are changed directly, saving time, resources and labor. Second, the garment is only manufactured once the customer has placed their order. Right from printing to dispatching the product, the order is managed just within 48 hours so that their no wastage and it is as per the latest fashion, Mr Kapoor explained. He said IBA is one of the largest online sellers of garments, especially ethnic clothes, having more than five lakh customers in six continents.
IBA has shipped over one million products to over 136 countries, crossing revenues of five million USD, with a net margin of over 30 per cent, he added. According to Mr Kapoor, the current business focus is divided in seven areas, including craft, jewellery, vintage, home decor, fashion, printing, health and beauty. (UNI)
