New Delhi, Former Home Minister and senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram will be addressing the students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Thursday regarding CAA and NRC, Chidambaram said on micro-blogging site, Twitter, on Wednesday.
“I will address a gathering of students at JNU on Thursday, 13th February at 5 p.m. on “Why we oppose NPR-CAA-NRC”,” Chidambaram tweeted.
Earlier in the day, the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) cancelled an anti-CAA march citing “unavoidable circumstances”.
“JNUSU will take up the issue of NRC, CAA, NPR and the witch hunting of political voices of dissent by building larger solidarity across campuses and give an immediate call shortly,” a message by JNUSU read.
