Amid intense speculation of bickering among its constituents over selection of seats and candidates, RJD led grand alliance today announced names of candidates and their seats for Lok Sabha election.
Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly and senior RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav announced names of 18 RJD seats and their candidates, three candidates of Hindustani Awam Morcha and seven candidates of Congress in a press conference. Another constituent of grand alliance, Rashtriya Lok Samata Party will announce names of its candidates later.
Mr Yadav said RJD has fielded Shailesh Kumar alias Bulo Mandal from Bhagalpur, Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav from Banka and Vibha Devi from Nawada,
He said that Loktantrik Janata Dal founder Sharad Yadav will contest election from Madhepura on RJD ticket. Other RJD candidates are Abdul Bari Sidiqqui from Darbhanga, Raghuvansh Prasad Singh from Vaishali, Surendra Ram alias Mahant Ji from Gopalganj, Hina Sahab from Siwan, Randhir Singh from Maharajganj, Chandrika Rai from Saran, Shivchandra Ram from Hajipur, Tanvir Hasan from Begusarai, Misa Bharti from Patliputra, Jagadanand Singh from Buxar, Surendra Yadav from Jehanabad, Gulab Yadav from Jhanjharpur, Sarfaraz Alam from Araria and Arjun Rai from Sitamarhi.
RJD will announce name of its candidate from Sheohar later, Mr Yadav said adding that his party would support CPI (ML) candidate Raju Yadav in Ara. (UNI)
