Eintracht Frankfurt have strengthened their squad with the signing of attacking midfielder Djibril Sow from Swiss outfit BSC Young Boys, both clubs announced on Friday.
The 22-year-old new arrival has put pen to paper on a five-year deal, which will bind him to the “Eagles” until June 2024.
“He was courted by many club all the more we are happy that he opted for Eintracht Frankfurt. We are convinced of his potential. He will help us with his technique, strategy and athletic skills,” Frankfurt’s sporting director Fredi Bobic said.
Sow played since 2017 for Young Boys Bern and provided four goals and 11 assists in overall 77 competitive appearances. His performance ensured him a place in Switzerland’s national team where he played his first cap in September 2018. He made ever since three appearances.
“It makes me really proud to have signed with a great club like Eintracht Frankfurt. In Switzerland I had already heard a lot of good things about the club,” Sow told the club’s official homepage.
From now on, Djibril Sow will wear the jersey number 8 at his new club.
