Government on Sunday extended the summer vacation for week up to eighth classes for a week in view of hot weather condition prevailing in Delhi.
“In view of the hot weather in Delhi, the summer vacation for students up to class 8 is being extended till July 8. For other classes the schools will reopen as per earlier schedule,” Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia who is also Education Minister said in his tweet. He also clarified that the Government order will be implied to private schools also. The schools were supposed to be opened on July 1 after summer vacation this year.
