Hours have not passed to the withdrawal of the strike by the lawyers of Orissa High court Bar Association , another ceasework call by the lawyers of Buguda starts from today. One lawyer Haraprasad Das was allegedly physically assaulted inside Buguda police station in Ganjam.
The lawyers’ Association has put forward a similar demand of arrest of the police personnel who assaulted the lawyer . The Association has lodged an FIR in the local police station and have threatened state-wide strike in case the personnel involved in the assault are not punished. Police has taken cognizance and an inquiry has been initiated, according to reports.
