Barcelona have shown interest in signing Argentina international striker Lautaro Martinez, local media reported on Sunday.
The reigning La Liga champions are prepared to pay 112 million euros to bring the 22-year-old to the Camp Nou this summer, radio station La Red reported, citing sources close to the Catalan club.
Martinez scored nine goals in 35 matches for Inter Milan last season after his 25 million-euro move from Racing Club.
His stock his risen considerably following a series of fine performances for Argentina’s national team, with whom he has scored four goals in his last six matches.
The prolific sequence included a sublime goal with a back-heel flick in Argentina’s 2-0 win over Venezuela in the Copa America quarterfinals on Saturday.
Lionel Messi is currently the only Argentine player in Barcelona’s squad.
