A petition has been filed by a Delhi-based social activist before the Supreme Court seeking directions to sack Rahul Johri as BCCI CEO on the ground that several sexual harassment complaints had been registered against him.
Rashmi Nair, in her petition, asserted that, ‘Johri had a very colourful past in each and every organisation where he worked and he managed to get away with all allegations of sexual harassment levelled against him by threat, coercion or greed.’
Nair pleaded to the apex court that all records pertaining to a three-member committee examining the cases should be summoned to know ‘how Johri was given the benefit of doubt despite difference of opinion within the members.’
The Supreme Court may take up the matter likely on April 25 for a detailed hearing into the petition filed by Nair. (UNI)
