New Delhi, Nov 10 (UNI) The BJP on Sunday announced that its incumbent Chief Minister in Jharkhand, Raghubar Das, will contest from Jamshedpur (East) in the ensuing polls. According to the announcement made by BJP working president J P Nadda, the BJP’s state unit chief Lakshman Gilua will contest the polls from Chakradharpur. “Jharkhand was previously known for the higher side of corruption and lower side of stability. Today, it is known for stability ….,” Mr Nadda said. Speaking in laudatory tone in favour of the Chief Minister Raghubar Das, he further said: “Corruption has been curbed in the state”. Besides the name of Mr Das, the BJP announced names of 51 other candidates.
The ruling dispensation in the state will face a stiff competition from the Congress, RJD and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha as these three parties have also announced a pre-poll alliance. “The general public mood in Jharkhand is in favour of the BJP….,” Mr Nadda claimed. Among the women candidates Louis Marandi has been fielded from Dumka (ST) seat and Neera Yadav will try her luck from Kodarma.
The saffron party’s candidate from Jharia will be Ragini Singh and Menka Sardar from Potka.
