Mumbai Nov 10 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday expressed its inability to form the government in Maharashtra. Speaking to mediapersons, State BJP president Chandarkant Patil said, ”We cannot form government at this point of time.”
His statement came after a group of BJP leaders, including Acting Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari. Mr Patil also wished Shiv Sena well, if it wants to form the government with Congress-NCP.
“We fought under the banner of grand alliance. Shiv Sena does not want to come with us. Shiv Sena has betrayed the mandate. We have told the Governor that we cannot form the government. ”If Shiv Sena wants to form the government with Congress-NCP, then we extend our good wishes to them,” he added.
