Premier Narendra Modi drew heavy flak on Tuesday from Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath who accused the former of betraying the populace by reneging on promises.
“Ahead of the 2014 general election, Modi pledged to deposit Rs 15 lakh in every person’s account besides creating 2 crore jobs annually but failed to deliver. Therefore, in these 2019 polls, the electorate shall teach him a lesson,” he averred here while addressing a municipal corporation programme in the vicinity of the airport vis-a-vis regularisation of unauthorised residential colonies.
Announcing that such settlements would be legitimised, the Chief Minister added that his dispensation is endeavouring to attract investment to rural and urban areas alike as that would translate into employment avenues.
