CISF restores containing cash Rs 3.65 lakh to rightful owner at Kaushambi Metro Station

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Thursday restored a bag with Rs 3.65 lakh to the rightful owner at Kaushambi metro station, an official statement said.
Around 0740 hrs on August 8, a CISF personnel at manual baggage checking point at Kaushambi metro station noticed an unclaimed bag lying on the output roller of scanning machine.

He immediately informed the matter to his shift in-charge and asked the nearby passengers about the bag, but on one came to forward to claim it. Subsequently, the bag was checked from security point of view and the matter was informed to Senior Officers of CISF and Station Controller.

After ascertaining that there was no dangerous or hazardous item inside the bag, it was opened. On opening the bag, cash amounting to Rs 3,65,000 was found inside the bag. Thereafter, the bag along with cash was deposited with the Station Controller.

After some time, a passenger named Rajesh Aggarwal,a resident of Mahendergarh, Haryana came at security point and inquired about his lost bag. He further revealed that he had mistakenly forgotten his bag containing cash Rs 3.65 lakh on the output roller of scanning machine. Later, after proper verification, the bag with Rs 3.65 lakh was returned to   Agrawal, the statement added.
