The Congress party on Sunday demanded that Election Commission should inquire about a `mysterious’ black box which was reportedly unloaded at Chitradurga from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s helicopter on Friday.
Addressing a press conference here, senior leader and former Union Minister Anand Shama said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has become the richest party and alleged that the PM Modi is spending huge and unaccounted money in this Lok Sabha election.
Mr Sharma claimed that a black box was unloaded by two men and then loaded to Toyota Innova, parked at a distance which was not part of the Prime Minister’s cavalcade.
He said the EC should enquire in this matter and find out as to what was being carried in that black box under SPG protection. The Prime Minister was using Indian Navy’s chopper.
“EC officials have all rights to check any vehicle during the electioneering process. Even PM or union Ministers are not exempted from this checking. Therefore, the EC must inquire into this matter”,   Sharma said.
He also charged that PM Modi considers himself above the law of the land. Hitting out at the NDA Government, the Congress leader accused. Modi of trying to deviate from the real issues of the nation and avoiding the debate on important issues like unemployment, corruption and failed agriculture and foreign policies.

Referring to the French newspaper ‘Le Monde’ report,  Sharma alleged that PM Modi was himself involved in Rafale scam. (UNI)
