New Delhi, Dec 1 AICC General secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has said she has been deeply disturbed over the rape and murder of the young veterinarian in Hyderabad and the teenage girl in Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh.
In a post on social media late Saturday night, Ms Vadra said, ‘I have been so deeply disturbed by the savage rape and murder of the young veterinarian in Hyderabad and the teenage girl in Sambhal that no words are enough to express my outrage. As a society, we have to do far more than just speak up when these horrific incidents take place.’
A 27-yr-old veterinary doctor was allegedly raped, murdered and her body was set ablaze on Thursday night. All the four accused in the gruesome crime have been arrested and sent to judicial custody of 14-days.
Three police personnel were suspended on Saturday for a delay in registering an FIR in the rape and murder case of the woman doctor in Telangana.
The 16-year-old girl, who was allegedly raped and set afire by her neighbour in UP’s Sambhal last week, succumbed to serious burns in a Delhi hospital on Saturday.
