The Delhi government has declared a two-day state mourning as a mark of respect in the memory of former External Affairs Minister and former Delhi Chief Minister Sushma Swaraj, who passed away on Tuesday night.

‘Delhi govt will observe two days state mourning as a mark of respect in the memory of former Chief Minister & senior leader respected Sushma Swaraj ji,’ Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia tweeted on Wednesday.

‘This means there will be no entertainment events during this period, ‘ an official from the Delhi Government said.

All other government business and programmes, including the Anganwadi programme at IG Indoor Stadium will continue as scheduled, the official said.

Swaraj expired last night following massive cardiac arrest here.

She was 67.
