Election Commission on Tuesday issued notification for the second phase of the seven-phased Lok Sabha election, for the 97 constituencies in 13 states and Union Territories.
According to the notification, the polling in the second phase will be held on April 18.
The poll body on Monday issued notification for the first phase of election, which will cover 91 constituencies.
Nominations for the second phase will be ended on March 26 and March 29 will be the last date for withdrawal of candidature.
On the second phase, elections will be held in all 39 constituencies of Tamil Nadu and lone seat of Puthucherry.
According to the Commission, by-elections in 18 assembly constituency in Tamil Nadu also will be held on April 18.
On the second phase, voting will take place in 14 seats in Karnataka, 10 in Maharashtra, eight in Uttar Pradesh, five each in Assam, Bihar and Odisha, three each in Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, two in Jammu and Kashmir, one each in Manipur and Tripura.
The Lok Sabha elections will commence on April 11 and will end on May 19. The results will be announced on May 23.
