As the first phase elections to four Lok Sabha and 28 Assembly seats in Odisha approaching very fast with less than a week left, BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has launched an aggressive campaign to counter BJP’s high voltage campaign.
While the BJP’s campaign is led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party President Amit Shah, UP Chief Minister Jogi Adityanath and Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das besides several Union Ministers, BJD is solely dependent on its only star campaigner Naveen Patnaik.
Modi had already addressed two election rallies in Koraput and kalahandi and scheduled to attend the third rally in Sundargarh today, party president Amit Shah had campaigned for party candidates in Gajapati and Rayagada district and scheduled to address another election rally on April 7.
The BJP is organizing a series of Vijaya Sanklap Samavesh in several parts of Southern Odisha, going for polls in the first phase with Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan leading the electioneering for the party.
Modi and Shah had a given a clarion call to the voters to dislodge and defeat the 19 years rule of Naveen Patnaik government and give a chance to the BJP to rule the state for development as the state is lagging far behind in development in compare to other states in the country.
They have made a scathing attack on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for encouraging the mining mafias, shielding those involved in the multi crore chit fund scams and depriving the poor and farmers by not implementing the Ayushman Bharat and PM Kissan yojana scheme in the state. (UNI)
