New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Wednesday held Reliance Communications (RCom) Chairman Anil Ambani guilty of contempt ruling that the embattled teleco should pay Ericson Rs 450 crore within four weeks or face three months jail.
A division bench comprising Justices Rohinton Fali Nariman and Vineet Saharam pronounced the order on the Swedish telecom giant Ericson AB’s contempt petition against Reliance Communications and its chairman Anil Ambani as the latter failed to clear its dues despite having given an undertaking to pay the amount.
After the verdict, Ambani refused to comment on top court’s verdict against him.
