A day after Balasore strongman Raghunath Mohanty left Biju Janata Dal to join BJP, sitting MLA Praveen Chandra Bhanjdeo and senior organizational leader Jajati Das left the party.

The MLA from Morada Assembly constituency and scion of Mayurbhanj royal family Praveen Chandra Bhanjdeo today resigned from the primary membership of the party and presidentship of Mayurbhanj district.

Sending his resignation letter to Naveen Patnaik, he alleged that his suggestions are not being taken seriously and accused the party of shelling out tickets to losers.

Safe to mention here that BJD is likely to anoint BJP turncoat Rajkishore Das as it candidate from Morada, which he has pointed out in his resignation letter without naming Rajkishore.

Apart from  Bhanj Deo, top BJD leader Jajati Das left the party today. He was the state Advisor of Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BYJD).

Das submitted his resignation to party chief Naveen Patnaik today citing mood of the public in his area (Simulia and Balasore) – effectively ending his decades long association with the party.

He is tipped to join BJP shortly, even though he hasn’t officially made a statement on this.
