The Central government has accorded approval for the construction of a fast railway track between Delhi and Hisar airports.
Haryana government is all set for local flights, to be followed by longer flights.
Hisar Deputy Commissioner Ashok Meena told newpersons hon Thursday that land measuring 700 acres has been earmarked for the airport and its railway station.
Besides, the adjoining land measuring 300 acres is being allotted for afforestation, to create a green and clean environment around new airport.
In addition, the present railway structure in Hisar is being upgraded. The new bus will cater to the needs of new airport and the expanding town.
Some towns of Punjab and some cities of Rajasthan are very near to Hisar. Therefore, this airport will be beneficial for the air travellers of Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan, a statement said here.
