Five Hindi writers awarded with 'Banarasi Prasad Bhojpuri' award

Five Hindi writers were honoured with ‘Banarasi Prasad Bhojpuri’ award on Friday, who was a freedom fighter and a journalist in Bharat Ratna Dr Rajendra Prasad’s weekly newspaper ‘Desh’.
Freedom fighter and a famous writer Banarasi Prasad Bhojpuri went to jail in freedom fight.
Born on July 28, 1904 in the village in Ara district of Bihar, this award named after Bojpuri was given to three writers Anamika, Sanjay Kundan, Gita Shree and Jharkhand’s Rannendra and Pankaj Mitra.
The award includes a citation, a symbol and Rs 5000. Bhojpuri participated in the freedom fight and went to jail in 1930. While in Benaras, he was also in touch with Premchand and Prasad. He started journalism from ‘Desh’ newspaper in 1925.
