Former minister S.M. Krishna is for ‘One India One Smart Card’

Former External Affairs Minister Krishna urges the Centre to include proposal of One India One Smart Card in the Budget-2019-20

Former external affairs minister and senior BJP leader S.M. Krishna has urged Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman to move a proposal in the current Union Budget to be presented in the Lok Sabha on July 5 for inclusion of ‘One India, One Smart Card’ concept.

The Smart Grid vision for India, he stated that, “(will) transform the Indian power sector into a secure, adaptive, sustainable and digitally enabled ecosystem that provides reliable and quality energy for all with active participation of the stakeholders.”

Krishna, in a letter written to the Union finance minister said NSGM had striven to showcase the benefits of this pilot project on ground and continues its focus on sustainable deployment models of Smart Grids which have supplemented the efforts in Smart Cities.
