Govt will never take up issue of PRC: Khandu

Amid on-going violence in the State Capital over the Permanent residential Certificate (PRC) issue, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has stated that the Government will never take up the issue of PRC matter keeping the sentiments of the people.

He appealed the people to maintain peace and for the normal life to continue in the state capital, a CMO release said.

Taking to micro-blogging site, Twitter, the Chief Minister said, “Deeply pained & saddened at the loss of three lives and I pray to almighty that their soul rest in peace.”

According the release, the CM further informed that exgratia has been announced for those deceased during protest and assured to meet their family members.

He further informed that a meeting of all community based organizations and all party have been called on Monday to discuss on PRC matter.

Meanwhile, the curfew which was imposed on Saturday afternoon , following Friday’s violence during the second day of the 48-hour bandh called by several organizations over the Permanent residential Certificate (PRC) to non-APST residents of Namsai and Changlang districts, has been extended till February 27, 0900 hrs.
