ISRO’s workhorse launch vehicle in its Golden Jubilee flight, PSLV-C48, carrying the ‘sharp eyed’ 628 kg
radar imaging earth observation satellite and nine foreign satellites,
blasts off from the SHAR Range here today. After a 22.45 hr countdown, the 44.4m tall vehicle, lifted off majestically from the First Launch Pad as scheduled at 1525 hrs, belching orange fumes and with a rumble that shook the earth.
