Anguished over their daughter’s love marriage, the family members of a girl shot their son-in-law dead in the Bisalpur town of this district in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Monday.
According to sources here, Sachin (25) residing in Mohalla Dubey of the Bisalpur town had married Anju (22), daughter of Harinandan, around five months back. Sachin had also visited his in-laws’ house on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan along with his wife.
On late Sunday evening, Sachin was on his way to the market for some work, when Harinandan and several others accosted and shot him dead.
Sources said a case against six people, three unidentified, has been registered and main accused Harinandan along with two others have been arrested.
A manhunt has been launched to nab the absconding accused. (UNI)
