England won the first match of the Paytm Women T20 three-match series at Barsapara Cricket Stadium here today by 41 runs.

Put to bat first after losing the toss, the visitors scored 160 for the loss of four wickets in their 20 overs.

Tamsin Beaumont was the top scorer for England, hitting 62 for 57 balls.

Left-arm spinner Radha Yadav was the most successful Indian bowler with two wickets.

The Indian batters failed to stay put in front of the medium pace attack of England, finishing with 119 at the end of 20 over for loss of six wickets.

Shikha Pandey was the top scorer for India, remaining not out at 23.

For England, Katherine Brunt and Linsey Smith picked two wickets each.
