An Iranian television woman anchor has been arrested in the US, according to Iran’s English-language Press TV on Wednesday.
Marzieh Hashemi was taken into custody for “unspecified offenses” at St. Louis Lambert International Airport, the television said.
The broadcaster said that the anchor was on a visit to her family when she was arrested and was sent to a detention facility in Washington DC.
No official charges have been pressed against the Iranian anchorwoman.
There was no official statement from US authorities on the issue.
