Italy advanced to the round 16 of 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup with a convincing 5-0 victory over Jamaica here as Cristiana Girelli completed a hat-trick and substitute Aurora Galli scored a brace.
Italy came from behind to beat Australia 2-1 in the previous match while Jamaica were by crashed Brazil 3-0.
The Azzurre were 2-0 up on Friday before the hour mark as Girelli broke the deadlock through a penalty and turned in a Manuela Giugliano’s pass.
Jamaica struggled after falling two goals behind and conceded the third just one minute into the second half as Girelli steer her header into the net.

Galli was also on the score sheet twice after coming off the bench, helping Italy seal the match with 5-0.
Italy will take on Brazil on June 18 in the last round while Jamaica meet Australia.
