The liquor sales in Andhra Pradesh have started declining considerably due to the concrete steps taken by the state government, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said on Friday. Taking to Micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Reddy said that the government had taken concrete steps to close the belt liquor shops. As a result, the sales of liquor had come down considerably. He said the bars and liquor shops would be reduced by 20 per cent from October month onwards.
In order to check the sale of country made liquor and illicit liquor, women police are being appointed in the village secretariats. APgovernment is taking steps to implement prohibition in phased manner”, the Chief Minister said. (UNI)
