Mumbai, Nov 30 (UNI) As many as seven people were killed and 24 injured after a pick-up van fell off a bridge in a river near Vinchur area of Dhule district in Maharashtra, police said here on Saturday.
Of the 24 injured, five are said to be serious and battling for life at a nearby hospital.
The incident happened around 0030 hrs on Friday night after a taxi nose-dived into the Bhori river from the bridge. The victims, all hailing from Madhya Pradesh, were employed as farm workers in Dhule.
Details are awaited, police added.
