Makers not to release ‘Total Dhamaal’ in Pakistan

In the wake of Pulwama terror attack in which 44 CRPF jawans were killed, the makers of upcoming comedy drama ‘Total Dhamaal’ on Monday decided not to release the movie in Pakistan.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, lead actor of the film Ajay Devgn said,’In light of the current situation the team of Total Dhamaal has decided to not release the film in Pakistan.’

Riteish Deshmukh said, ‘In light of the current situation the team of Total Dhamaal has decided to not release the film in Pakistan.’

The team of ‘Total Dhamaal’ – the entire crew, actors and makers have also donated Rs 50 lakhs to families of soldiers who were martyred in the Pulwama terror attack.

At least 40 CRPF personnel were martyred in a fidayeen attack at Awantipora in south Kashmir district of Pulwama on Srinagar-Jammu national highway.

Terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has claimed responsibility for the attack.

‘Total Dhamaal’ is an adventure comedy film directed and co-produced by Indra Kumar.

It is the third installment of the ‘Dhamaal’ film series.

The film stars Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Madhuri Dixit, Esha Gupta and Anil Kapoor.

The film is scheduled to be released on February 22.
