Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi has heaped praises on the former prime minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh for his selfless and humility as his most enviable qualities. “Dr. Manmohan Singh was an epitome of humility” said Sonia Gandhi adding that ‘he headed the country when it was on the edge’. Sonia Gandhi told this during the occasion of Dr. Singh was honoured with the Indira Gandhi Peace Prize.
While being conferred with the award Dr. Singh remembered the achievements of Indira Gandhi and described how she had steered the nation through all critical circumstances and earned high respect for India.
