Delhi Metro services were affected on its Yellow Line for nearly 90 minutes due to a power failure between Udyog Bhawan and Model Town on Saturday evening.
‘Due to some leakage from a water pipeline inside the tunnel between New Delhi and Chawri Bazar Metro station, the power supply tripped on the Central Secretariat- Kashmere Gate Section of Line-2 (Samaypur Badli- Huda City Center) at 1658 hrs,’ a DMRC spokesperson said.
During this period, the train services were running in loops temporarily between Huda City Centre and Central Secretariat and between Kashmere Gate and Samaypur Badli.
The issued was rectified at 1825 hrs and normal service resumed on entire Line-2.
Single Line Operation were run temporarily on the affected section till the full rectification at 1825 hrs, the spokesperson added.
