In an endeavour to scotch an evil that has destroyed innumerable homes, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath directed police and excise officers to ceaselessly campaign against those selling illicit liquor so that the crime can be stringently checked.
It was learnt through official channels on Monday that the Chief Minister called for the strictest action against bootleggers including destruction of their dens.
“Special vigil must be maintained along state borders as transport of such liquor is likely across them. If any related case comes to light then severe measures shall also be taken against the official in charge of the area concerned,” Mr Nath averred.
