A three-day National Summit on Divyang, a person with a disability, organized by Samdrushti, Kshamata Vikas Evam Anusandan (SKSHAM) will be held at Sharadhamam Shikshana Kendra in Bandlaguda Jagir here from September 13.
This is the 10th Summit held annually and it is the first to be held in Telangana.
His Holiness Shri Swamy Paripoornananda Saraswati, Mr Manmohan Vaidya, Sah Sarkaryavah, RSS, Mr G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Mr Malla Reddy, Telangana Minister of Labour, Ms Mallika Nadda, National Vice President, Saksham, Mr M Jagadeeshwar, Principal Secretary, Women and Child Welfare Department, Government of Telangana, Dr Patola Sudarshan Reddy, Former Superintendent Niloufer Hospital and others will grace the inaugural function, a statement here said on Saturday.
Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Dr Thawar Chand Gehlot will be the chief guest at the closing of the Summit on September 15. SAKSHAM organization works for the rehabilitation of Divyangs or differently-abled persons.
About 300 delegates from all the states and Union Territories in the country will participate. They will share their stories. Some experts who have worked in this area will address the gathering, the statement added. (UNI)
