(UNI) The National Commission for Women on Sunday took the suo motu cognizance against BJP MLA Sadhna Singh for making objectionable statement against BSP chief Mayawati.
The Commission will also send a notice to Ms Singh regarding the statement in question.
Later, BSP leader Satish Chandra Misra said the BJP leader is “mentally ill” and her statement showed the level of the BJP.
Ms Singh while addressing a rally on Saturday had said that Ms Mayawati was “worse than a eunuch”.
She, without referring to the guest house incident of 1995 in Lucknow where the BSP chief and several other party leaders were attacked by Samajwadi Party (SP) workers, had said that a woman, who underwent a “chirharan” (disrobe) is now compromising with the perpetrators. She claimed, “She is worse than a eunuch”
