Odisha CM dismisses six more officials, 44 dismissed in last two months on corruption charges

Bhubaneswar, Nov 04 (UNI) Emphasizing on zero tolerance Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today dismissed six officers and stopped the pension of five employees for their involvement in corruption. The officials dismissed included three Assistant Engineers, one Junior Engineer and a Forest Range Officer.Three retired Odisha Administrative Service (OAS)cadre officers figured in the list of employees whose pension have been stopped permanently.

Official sources said as many as 44 employees dismissed, the pension of 11 employees stopped permanently and ten were given compulsory retirement during the last two months on the ground of corruption by the Chief Minister. All these persons were convicted by the State Vigilance Department.
