Pakistan shooters participation in ISSF World Cup uncertain: NRAI

In the wake of Pulwama terror attack, Pakistan shooters participation at the International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup (Rifle/Pistol) here in the capital at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range beginning from February 23-28 is still uncertain.
The opening ceremony will be innaugurated by the Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore here on Thursday after which the games will be declared open.
On Friday Pre-Event Training will be held while the tournament will begin from Saturday.
Giving information on World Cup present during the media interaction present were Organising secretary and secretary general NRAI D V Seetharama Rao and Dr Karni Shooting Range, administrator, Manjushree Dayanand.
When asked about Pakistan shooters participation and Visa issue Rao had no clear answer.
He said, “it is the responsibility of the government to grant Visa, they were to arrive here on Wednesday like shooters of other countries.
So far we have no information regarding their participation as government has not denied them Visa. If they come they can take part in the tournament.”
