Pakistan on Thursday suspended the cross-border passenger train service with India in view of the ongoing tensions between the two countries.
Pakistan’s foreign ministry said the train operation with India was suspended “in view of the prevailing tensions between Pakistan and India.”
“Samjhauta Express will resume its operations as soon as the security situation improves between India and Pakistan,” the ministry said in a statement.
Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority also announced that commercial flight service will remain suspended until Thursday midnight.
The flight operation was suspended on Wednesday.
