Police organise counseling for stone pelters, assures help to build their future

Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday organised proper counseling on Srinagar outskirts for teenagers who are indulging in stone pelting and other social crimes and assured them all help to build their future, a police spokesman said here this afternoon.
He said a police-public meeting was held at Pandach under police station Hazratbal on city outskirts today.
He said the meeting chaired by Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Hazratbal Rameez Rasheed Bhat and Station House Officer (SHO) Syed Waseem Jahangir was attended by large number of local respectable citizens besides teenagers and their parents.
The spokesman said the main aim of meeting was to interact with the youth of Pandach, especially the teenagers and try to counsel them in front of their parents. After proper counseling, the parents of all such teenagers who indulge in stone pelting and other social crimes assured full cooperation for maintaining peace and law and order.
The police officers assured teenagers and their parents every possible help to build their future. Participants thanked SDPO Hazratbal & SHO Soura & assured full cooperation to curb the social evils.
