Police today busted an illegal gun manufacturing unit in the heart of the capital city with the arrest of an employee of the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT).
A senior officer of the Commissionerate Police said the police team seized three incomplete guns and huge quantity of gun making materials.
Sources said the illegal gun manufacturing unit was operating from inside the official residence of the employee.
Police identified the accused as Nrusingha Nayak, a resident of Sarakantara.
Interrogation of the accused is on. Details about the illegal unit would be known only after the interrogation was over, police said. (UNI)
