New Delhi, Dec 4: Keeping it’s last Assembly polls promise of free WiFi to Delhiites, the Arvind Kejriwal led AAP Government on Wednesday announced that 11,000 hotspots would be installed across Delhi to provide free internet.
Addressing a press conference here, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “11,000 hotspots will be installed to provide free internet. Inauguration of 100 hotspots will be on December 16.”
Apprising about the first phase installation of hotspots, Mr Kejriwal said out of 11,000 hotspots, 4,000 would be installed at bus stands while 7,000 in markets adding, it would cost around Rs 100 crore to Government exchequer.
“Out of 7,000 hotspots, 100 hotspots will be installed in every Assembly segments,” he informed.
