In the wake of Pulwama terror attack in which 44 CRPF jawans were martyred, producer Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films has cancelled the contract with the Pakistani distributor, and decided not to release ‘Luka Chuppi’ and ‘Arjun Patiala’ in Pakistan.
The fidayeen attack was carried out at Awantipora in south Kashmir district of Pulwama on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway on February 14.
Terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) had claimed the responsibility for the attack.
‘Luka Chuppi’ is an upcoming romantic comedy film directed by Laxman Utekar. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, it stars Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon and tells the story of a television reporter in Mathura who falls in love with a headstrong woman.
The film is scheduled to release on March 1.
‘Arjun Patiala’ is an upcoming rom-com film which is directed by Rohit Jugraj and co-produced by Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan under T-Series and Maddock Films. It stars Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Sharma.
The central plot of the film is the romance between a tall woman and a short man, with the height difference causing comic difficulties. The film is scheduled to release on May 3.
