The festival of Ram Navami marking the birth of Lord Ram is being celebrated across Bihar today with full enthusiasm and religious fervour.
In the state capital, Hanuman Mandir near Patna railway station is witnessing the congregation of a large number of devotees as they stood in long queues since late last night to pay their obeisance to Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman as soon as the temple was opened for the day.
Temples have been illuminated with decorative bulbs and flowers to mark the occasion.
Saffron flags, each depicting Lord Hanuman are flying high in the state capital as several ‘Shobha Yatras’ are also being taken out to mark the festival.
Elaborate security arrangement has been made across Bihar particularly state capital to pre-empt any chance of disturbance of peace during the festival. Doctors along with ambulances have also been made available to deal with any situation. Nobody is being allowed to enter into Hanuman Mandir and other temples without full checking.
Meanwhile, Bihar Governor Lalji Tandon and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar greeted people on the occasion of Ram Navami festival. (UNI)
