After superstar Amitabh Bachchan announced his decision to donate Rs five lakh each to the families of the CRPF jawans killed in Pulwama attack, Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan’s Being Human foundation also pledged an unspecified monetary donation for the cause of the martyrs, trade sources, said.
Salman had earlier expressed his condolence over the deaths in the terrorist attack.
‘My heart goes out for the Jawans of our beloved country and their families who lost their lives as martyrs to save our families… #YouStandForIndia,’ he said.
Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju expressed his appreciation for Salman’s gesture.
“Thank you @BeingSalmanKhan on offering to contribute for Pulwama Martyrs through BEING HUMAN FOUNDATION. I’ll work out for handing over of the cheques in the account of #BharatKeVeer @BharatKeVeer,’ the Minister tweeted.
