SECOND ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF ATAL TINKERING LAB AT DAV POKHARIPUT

The 2nd foundation Day of Atal Tinkering laboratory, DAV Public school, Pokhariput was flagged off in its premises. The celebration started with a warm welcome to Dr. Debi Prasad Das, Scientist, CSIR, IMMT, Bhubaneswar as the Guest of Honour and Dr. Gourav, Scientist, Regional Museum of Natural history as the Chief Guest. The Principal welcomed them formally and  light the lamp on the effectiveness of the Lab as a reliable researching platform. In his address to students the Chief Guest stressed on grabbing the opportunity without any reticence and delay in this regard will fail our life as a whole that he asserted. Das advised the children to identify the problems as soon as possible that they can sort out them at the earliest.

60 students of the schools across the city participated in the programme and got motivated by the robotic shows by students of ATL and the science show that was organised with the help of the Regional Science Centre. The emerging tinkerers of the school were felicitated with certificates and trophies. Both the guests were felicitated by Dr. Sujata, principal of the school. The program was wound up with vote of thanks by Prasant Kumar Das, the science teacher and the ATAL-in –charge of the school.

Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) is an approach of Central government of India to create an environment of scientific temperament, innovation, creativity amongst Indian Students. It is a step towards a new India.
