Mumbai, Jan 11 (UNI) The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday fell by 31 points at 36,075.01 in opening session as selling was seen in energy, finance, industrial, IT and telecom stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too eased by 18.80 points to 10,802.80.
Though, the sensex opened higher by 85 points to 36,191.87, it immediately went down following selling Energy, Finance, Industrial, IT and Telecom stocks.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 36,214.26 and 36,037.22 respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,850.15 and 10,801.20 points respectively.
The losers were Tata Motors DVR by 2.35 pc to Rs 95.75, TCS by 1.98 pc to Rs 1850.80, Bharti Airtel by 1.55 pc to Rs 332.15 and Tata Motors by 1.46 pc to Rs 182.85.
The gainers were ITC by 1.52 pc to Rs 293.95, ONGC by 1.18 pc to Rs 145.25, VEDL by 1.15 pc to Rs 197.35 and Sun Pharma by 0.72 pc to Rs 447.05.
