Amidst speculation of his joining the Congress party, rebel BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha on Thursday met party president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi.
Sources said that Sinha was expected to join the party on Thursday but his entry in the party has been delayed due to rift in grand alliance in Bihar over seat sharing.
The sources said that Sinha is likely to join the party later on Thursday or on Friday in the presence of the party president and other senior leaders.
Asked on the issue, AICC media incharge Randeep Singh Surjewala said, “You will get the good news very soon.”
Speculation of Sinha joining the COngress has been rife after he was dropped for the Patna Sahib Lok Sabha seat, from where he is a sitting MP, by the BJP.
The party has named Law and Justice Minister and Rajya Sabha lawmaker Ravi Shankar Parasad as its nominee, who is also hailing from the same city.
