Sidhu, Khaira should have no place in politics : Jagir Kaur

Lambasting Punjab cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu and Punjabi Ekta Party chief Sukhpal Singh Khaira for their utterances, former Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) president and senior core committee member Jagir Kaur said that Sidhu should be immediately sacked as minister and Khaira be expelled as MLA.
In a statement here today, Ms Kaur said that Sidhu made outrageous statements and then had the audacity to defend it just to please his masters Imran Khan and his army chief.
This triggered a wave of anger and anguish against him and people from all walks, especially bollywood, decided not to watch his shows and has literally ostracized him.
She urged Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to throw such an anti-national minister out as Sidhu had already forfeited his nationality by espousing cause of the neighbouring hostile county.
Hitting out Khaira for defending the dastardly coward of martyring 40 soldiers as reprisal for alleged human right violations in the valley is absurd and grotesque.
“Such justification emanates from sick minds. Khaira who moved from Congress to AAP and then to form his own party is frustrated and perhaps lost his mental equilibrium as evident from his recent statement,” she said.
Strangely, there leaders like Sidhu or Khaira are rubbing salt on the wound of the people instead of offering condolences and visiting the families of martyrs, she said.
Ms Kaur offered heart-felt condolences to the families of martyrs and assured that the entire nation was behind them a rock.
Meanwhile, the former SGPC chief has convened a rally of ex-servicemen at Bholath on February 23.
